About Lapakin Tools

A growing set of free online tools for business, students, developers, and everyday tasks.

What this is

Lapakin Tools is a collection of 126 free online tools for business, students, developers, and everyday tasks. It covers everyday jobs such as picking a random winner, counting words, formatting JSON, or checking a subnet, plus a growing set of developer and writer tools.

How your text is handled

Every tool runs as JavaScript inside your own browser. When you paste text, formatters, converters, counters, and hashers process it on your device. Nothing you paste is uploaded to a server, and nothing is stored after you close the tab.

That is why a tool such as the password hash generator derives a hash locally: the password never travels anywhere. The same applies to a draft you analyse for readability or a customer list you clean up.

What is free

All of it. There is no account to create, no trial to expire, and no feature locked behind a payment. If a tool is listed here, it works.

Corrections and limits

Tools are built to be accurate about what they can and cannot do. Where a result is an estimate, such as reading time or a readability score, the page says so. Where a capability is impossible, such as checking whether a remote port is open from a web page, the tool says that too rather than pretending.

Some tools also carry honest warnings: MD5 and SHA-1 are labelled legacy, the password hash generator states that PBKDF2 is what a browser can do, and the port checker explains that a web page cannot scan ports.

Feedback

Found a bug, or want a tool that does not exist yet? Use the feedback button in the footer. It records the page you were on, so the report arrives with the context needed to reproduce it.

If one of these tools saved you time and you want to keep them maintained, a coffee helps. It is never required.
