Longest Word Finder
Find the longest words in your text with their length, which is how you spot an over-long word before a reader stumbles on it. Long words slow a reader down.
How to use
- Paste your text into the box.
- Set the shortest word to include and whether repeats are collapsed.
- Read the ranked list.
The longest word finder ranks words by length. Long words are not wrong, but a wall of them slows reading down, so knowing which ones you used most is the first step in splitting them up.
