Cron Expression Parser
Explain a cron expression field by field in plain English and list the next run times, so you can confirm that a schedule does what you meant.
How to use
- Paste the cron expression.
- Read the field-by-field meaning and the description.
- Check the next run times against what you expected.
A cron parser reads the five fields of a schedule, checks each one, and reports what it means in words. It then steps forward to the next run times so a schedule can be verified before it is deployed.
The seconds field was ignored.

Questions about cron expression parser
- Why does my expression look wrong here?
- The parser follows standard five-field cron. Six-field variants that start with seconds are accepted, and the seconds field is ignored rather than silently shifting the others.
- What do the special values mean?
- An asterisk means every value, a dash is a range, a comma is a list, and a slash sets a step, so a slash on five means every five units.
- When is Sunday zero or seven?
- Both mean Sunday in the day-of-week field. Sunday is also allowed as a name.
