ULID Generator
Create ULID identifiers that carry a timestamp, so values stay sortable by creation time while staying short, 26 characters, and URL-safe. No server needed.
How to use
- Set how many identifiers you need.
- Copy the list, one identifier per line.
A ULID is a 26-character identifier whose first ten characters encode a timestamp, so lexical sort order matches creation order. The rest is random, using an alphabet without letters that look like numbers.

Questions about ulid generator
- Why use a ULID instead of a UUID?
- It is shorter, URL-safe without escaping, and sorts by creation time, so it behaves better as a database key.
- Is it random enough?
- The random part is 80 bits drawn from the system random source, so collisions are not a practical concern.
- Can two ULIDs share a timestamp?
- Yes, and that is fine. The random part still makes them unique, which is why ordering within one millisecond is not guaranteed.
