Query String Parser
Read a query string or a URL parameter by parameter, with decoded values for repeated keys and a normalised query string you can copy straight back.
How to use
- Paste a URL or a raw query string.
- Read each parameter, including repeated keys.
- Copy the normalised query string if you need to rebuild it.
A query string parser breaks the part of a URL after the question mark into parameters and values. It also shows the decoded form of each value, which is where the real data often hides.
Paste a query string to see its parameters.
Questions about query string parser
- What is a repeated key for?
- A key can appear more than once, for example a list of tags. Each value gets its own row so none are lost.
- Why is there a decoded row?
- Values are percent-encoded on the wire. The decoded row shows what the application will see after it parses them.
- Does it handle nested objects?
- No. A convention such as bracket notation is application specific, so every key is reported exactly as written.
