Extract URLs
Pull every web link out of a text and get the list back one per line, with trailing punctuation trimmed off the end of each address. Trims trailing punctuation.
How to use
- Paste the text into the box.
- Choose whether to keep duplicates and to strip the scheme.
- Copy the link list.
Extracting URLs collects the links from a text into a plain list. Trailing punctuation such as a full stop at the end of a sentence is trimmed, so the links you copy are links and not broken strings.
Paste or type something above.
Questions about extract urls
- Which links are found?
- Links written with http or https, which covers what appears in ordinary text.
- What is URL-safe stripping?
- Removing the leading http or https, which is how a domain is often stored in a database or a spreadsheet.
- Does it follow bare domains?
- No. Write the scheme, because example.com in a sentence is ambiguous with a file name.
