Text Diff Checker
Compare two texts line by line and see exactly which lines were added, removed, or kept, so you can review a change before you commit it. Nothing is uploaded.
How to use
- Paste the first text in the top box.
- Paste the second text in the bottom box.
- Read the marked lines.
A text diff checker compares two versions of a text and marks every line that differs. Reviewing a change as a diff is more reliable than reading both versions side by side, because the eye misses small edits.
Plain lines are unchanged. Green lines are in the second text only, red lines in the first text only.
Questions about text diff checker

- With a longest common subsequence over lines, which finds the smallest set of changes that explains the difference.
- Can I ignore case and spacing?
- Yes, both options are available, which is useful when only the formatting changed.
- Is my text uploaded?
- No, both texts are compared in your browser and neither leaves the page.
